Being hurt is not something one can help. There wouldn’t be a single person who hasn’t been hurt at point in life. You can be hurt by anyone, from your family to your friends and even colleagues. But the question is, it doing us any good, does holding grudge against someone makes us feel better?

These are some of the inherent benefits of forgiveness. Apart from these, forgiveness can also go a long way in helping maintain harmony in relationships and make family lives better. It is not always easy to forgive as some of the incidents that resulted in this remorse could be hard to forget. However, you have to understand that by not letting go and holding on to the hatred is only going to affect the quality of your life and will do no good.
